Skin Care Guide
Caring for your skin with psoriasis isn't that much different than what you normally should do, but it can make a huge difference in managing your psoriasis.
Make sure you avoid injuries to the skin. If you do happen to get nicks or cuts on your skin, ensure you properly clean them and treat them with a disinfectant.
Know how to take care of your skin in the sun by applying sunscreen with the appropriate SPF, wearing a hat and sunglasses, and only spend a limited time in the sun. Getting a sunburn is very bad for your psoriasis, so be sure to avoid prolonged sun exposure.
Treat your psoriasis regularly with any creams and ointments recommended by your dermatologist, and avoid scratching. Scratching or aggravating the skin can cause it to bleed, which also allows the area to become easily infected.
Ensure you see your dermatologist regularly to receive proper treatment and avoid any complications.
